The standard CRTT listening and CRTT reading tests have 10-subtests with 10-items per subtest. Both listening and reading tests can be administered with the first 3-items, the first 5- items, or the full length-10-items per subtest. The average of the first three items of each subtest predicts the full 10 items for 8 of 10 subtests above .80 and the average of all 10-subtests predicts the ten-subtest 10-item average above .80. Five items per subtest predicts the full 10- items at .90 or above for all subtests. Overall, both short versions predict the full-length test accurately and reliably. Additionally, sensitivity and specificity analyses yield near perfect separation of healthy control individuals from people with aphasia for the CRTT-L and CRTT-R-wf versions of the test with specific cut-off scores.
